I was born in Mass. in 1953, and when I was 8 years old my family moved to Utah for 3 years where my baby sister was born, I had 4 brothers already. We then moved to Carson City, Nev. where I graduated from High School. I attended the University of Reno, Nevada and then, under an art scholarship, attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Before I went to B.Y.U., in 1973, I was in a major car accident that happened in Wyoming when I was 20 years old. I was transferred to the St. lukes Hospital in Denver, Colorado and was in traction for 2 months, due to 5 major pelvic fractures, resulting from our Jeep Wagoner ending up on top of me. I knew it was a miracle I was still alive and also a miracle to learn to walk again.
While I was in the hospital, 2 Missionary Elders, from the (LDS) "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints", came to visit me and challenged me to read the "Book of Mormon", which I did when I returned home to Carson City. While I was reading this Book, that talked about an ancient civilization that came over to the America's in 600 B.C. and inhabited it until 400 A.D., I was given a very powerful and strong witness that this Book was true. It spoke of Christ's visit to the people in America soon after His resurrection. With the Bible, the "Book of Mormon" became another witness of Jesus Christ for me.
In 1975-1977, I served an LDS mission for the Colorado-Denver Mission. It was in that same mission that the Missionary Elders had first given me a copy of the "Book of Mormon" 2 years earlier. I was grateful to serve there and had great faith promoting experiences. After my mission, while I was attending B.Y.U., I had the opportunity to teach at the (MTC) Missionary Training Center in Provo, from 1979-1981. I absolutely loved the missionaries I taught. They have a special place in my heart.
Dec.,1982, I was sealed to my husband Don in the Jordan River Temple in Utah. 5 years later I had my 1st baby girl, and two other girls followed later. I love my children, they are my world. Because of our closeness I even home schooled them for a time. I lived in Provo for many years and now reside in Santaquin, Utah with my husband and family. Because of the counsel of my leaders in my church, I believe very strongly in being prepared temporally and spiritually for when times get harder as we get closer to our Savior's return. I am trying to be self-reliant in every way which includes learning to grow a garden.
Because of my strong faith in Jesus Christ, the painting of "Prince of Peace" came to be. I know it was a commission from the Lord. The mission of this painting is to have prints sent throughout the world. I give them out freely and only accept donations to help with the cost of printing. 4,500 prints have already been given out throughout the USA and many parts of the world with the help of family, friends, acquaintances and missionaries. I now have 7,000 more prints to give out this coming year. Due to my limited funds at this time, if any one would like to be a part of this mission, any small donation is greatly appreciated. I want to thank all those who have contributed in the past, I know you will be greatly blessed.
My goal in the future is to have the means to keep this mission going. I was led recently to a company called Kyani. It is a health and wellness product that will help people facing all kinds of health challenges and serious illnesses. A lot of medical and scientific research has been done concerning the products. Kyani has helped with diabetes, Alzheimers, Parkinsons disease, arthritis, fibromalygia, tumors, and many more. I am now apart of this great opportunity to not only bless the lives of others with better health, but to become financially secure. I am so happy with this new product and I have already seen good results in my own life and in the lives of others. To learn more, go to: Kyanigiftofwellness.kyani.net and trykyani.com. Let me know what you think. I know the Lord has opened this door for me to help others, and I am grateful for that.
If you would like to be a part of the mission for the Savior's prints to be sent throughout the world, I am looking for sponsors and anyone willing to make any contribution or donation. Call me at (801)361-3453.

A journey in the making to complete the painting of, "Prince of Peace"
The painting, "Prince of Peace", has been a journey in the making for over five years. It was painted during my most trying times and heartache. So many lessons and experiences had to be learned to be able to capture the emotions of the Savior, who suffered and experienced all things through His atoning sacrifice for all mankind. Because of His love for each of us, He knows our pain and suffering and will carry our burdens if we let Him. He knows each of us personally. He is our eldest Brother, the Son of God, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The painting, "Prince of Peace", did not start until fifteen years after my friend shared a sacred experience with me, where she had witnessed the Savior. She challenged me to paint Him, but I was not ready at that time. When the prompting came to start the painting, no model was used. It had to come from inspiration with the help from the Lord as well as help from my friend. She was also going through extreme trials as the painting progressed, and she documented everything that took place, including the five years it took to complete this project.
Before the painting was completed, there was a feeling of something missing. I wondered why would the Lord have me do this painting when things were not right at home with my family. It was after that, ending up in the hospital for an emergency operation, that I felt the split second of dying. It was a wonderful and indescribable feeling of great relief from everything. It was like a car being lifted off of me, with no worries and no looking back. A few days after that experience, I felt the Lord's hands holding my face and looking into my eyes. The strong feeling of love was all encompassing and tears of joy could not be held back. I knew I was supposed to see the Savior, even though I could not remember what He looked like or what He said. My only guess was that the Lord wanted me to return to my family in mortality to help them, and through faith and inspiration finish the painting. The painting began to change from an earthly Christ to a more Celestial Christ. His face became more perfected and the color scheme changed throughout the painting.
My greatest trials and lessons were about to begin after leaving the hospital. My trials were very hard and went on for a long time, keeping me from being able to smile or laugh, or be myself because of the emotional pain and heartache that I felt. It was in the Lord's time, my lessons were learned, including: patience, long suffering, perseverance, endurance, forgiveness, faith, unconditional love, overcoming fear, not judging others and trusting in the Savior by putting His will first. I then became a new person, having greater strength to overcome adversity and knowing the Lord is always there. I have a testimony of the power of prayer and that prayers are answered!
What I shared above is a very small part of the journey of this painting. It is an inspirational story about this very special witness of Jesus Christ. The mission of this painting is to heal and bring us back to the Lord and our Father in heaven and to prepare for the Savior's Second Coming. Our goal is to take this image throughout the world, sharing it with all of God's children. A book will be published on the mission of this painting, sharing all the miracles and trails that have happened and to this day continue to happen.
I testify of Christ, that He lives! He is our Savoir and Redeemer. I know I was commissioned by the Lord to do this painting with His help and the help of my friend. I pray that it will bring comfort to all that see it, to help us in good times as well as in our darkest hours.
